The Alamo Colleges Board of Trustees is holding a previously unscheduled meeting on Thursday, March 1. For what purpose? The BoardBook offers little clues other than:
- They’re going into Executive Session
- They’re coming out of Executive Session to possibly vote on items discussed in Executive Session
It has something to do with “Board Protocol and Standing Committees’ Function.”
Dr. Bruce Leslie, along with a panel of Alamo College Vice Chancellors, will hold a Town Hall Meeting at SAC on Thursday, March 8. The event will be held at the Nursing & Allied Health Complex (NAHC), Room 218 A&B. Staff and faculty are encouraged to attend. The panel will take questions from the audience.

Blakely Fernandez is NOT running for Board re-election. She is backing Yvonne Katz, former Spring Branch ISD superintendent and president of Vision Into Action Associates. See also appears to be a motorcycle enthusiast! Katz has filed the necessary paperwork with the District to get her name on the ballot in District 7.
Here is Katz’s vita: http://www.viaaeducation.com/Vitas/YvonneKatz.pdf
